What are Rooibos Teas?
Rooibos Teas are actually healthy replacements for black teas.
Rooibos with botanical (scientific) name:Aspalathuslinearis, is just grown in the high Cederberg Mountains, and one of the National Treasures of South Africa (together with Diamond and Gold).
Rooibos is not a true tea but a herbwith needle-like leaves, also a fascinating medicinal plant with high antioxidants.
Caffeine-free and very low in tannin, may avoid the uncomfortable reactions from traditional teas such as insomnia, stomach upsets, suitable for whole families including babies over 6 months!
Rooibos has a distinctive color, flavor and aroma. Its amber color comes from the natural color that develops during the post-harvest “fermentation” (oxidation) process,brought about by natural enzymes in the plant.
It is 100% natural, contains no colorants, additives or preservatives.
Rooibos is graded according to color, flavor, and cutlength.
Rooibos ages well and can be stored for long periods without any deterioration in quality, flavor and taste
